Our 1st annual Winter Coat Drive was a big success. Check out our video.  Over 300 winter coats were donated by citizens.  Zone Watch volunteers ironed on reflective strips on most of the coats to make them safer at night.  We also had fun and safety tips for the kids regarding Halloween.  Thanks Thunder Bay!

October is Child Abuse Prevention Month.  The Thunder Bay Police got out the purple ribbons and ties to support this important event.

Another Ottawa man has been charged in connection with the kidnapping of a 17 year old Thunder Bay youth.  (His name will be released once he has appeared in court on August 25, 2016.)

He has been charged with the following:

• Kidnapping - c.c. 279.1.1(b)
• Assault – c.c. 266
• Uttering Threats – c.c. 264.1.1…

Officers responded to a robbery at the Landmark Inn on Dawson Road early Saturday morning.

At approximately 12:48 a.m. on February 6, 2016, a female approached the front desk of the hotel and demanded money.  No weapon was seen and she made off with cash.  No one was injured.
