Complaints regarding aggressive sales representatives have been further investigated by the Thunder Bay Police Service and these cases do not appear to be linked to fraud.
Even if a door-to-door sales representatives is employed by a reputable organization or business, and is licenced, you still have the right to ask them to leave. You also still have the right to close your door.
The previously issued Public Service Announcement regarding potential fraud has been canceled. However, we still urge citizens to exercise caution when dealing with anyone who arrives at your door, calls you on the telephone, or emails you unsolicited.
