Two Toronto-area men were arrested and charged following the seizure of suspected cocaine and Fentanyl early Friday morning.

Thunder Bay Police Service officers were dispatched to a residential address in the 300 block of Brodie Street South just after 1:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 21 to check on the welfare of an individual.

When officers arrived they eventually located the individual and were able to confirm their safety. However, officers learned of suspected drug trafficking activity at the residence.
Further investigation led police to locate a quantity of suspected cocaine and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.

Two occupants of the apartment were arrested without incident, and during the arrest officers located a quantity of Canadian currency and a quantity of suspected heroin, crack cocaine and Fentanyl.

A quantity of pills was also located and seized.

Mohamed Mohamed MUSSE, 19, of Toronto is charged with:
• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking x 2
• Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking x 2
• Possession of a Schedule 4 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000

Jurell Austin SWINDELL, 19, of Toronto is charged with:
• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking x 2
• Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking x 2
• Possession of a Schedule 4 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000

Both appeared in bail court on Friday and were remanded into custody with future appearance dates.
