Police arrested three and seized cocaine, fentanyl and cash following the search of a south-side home Tuesday afternoon.

Members of the Thunder Bay Police Service’s Intelligence Unit, along with members of the OPP’s Organized Crime Bureau, executed a search warrant at a residential address in the 2000 block of Moodie Street just after 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2021. The warrant was obtained during an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking activity.
Officers located three suspects inside the home.

Police also observed an apparent trail of suspected cocaine leading directly to a male accused. Upon further investigation police suspect the male was attempting to dispose of the narcotics.

All three accused were arrested and transported to the TBPS headquarters at 1200 Balmoral Street without further incident.

A search of the home led to the seizure of a quantity of cocaine, a quantity of suspected fentanyl, more than $27,000 in cash and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.

The estimated street value of the drugs seized also totals more than $27,000 CAD.

Rusheed Romeo PERRY, 25, of Mississauga, is charged with:

• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
• Obstruct Peace Officer

Kelly Marian SPYRKA, 54, of Thunder Bay, is charged with:

• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000

Peter Grant SPYRKA, 60, of Thunder Bay, is charged with:

• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000

All three appeared in bail court on Wednesday, Jan. 20 and were remanded into custody with future appearance dates.
