SROs receive honours from local high school
Incident Date

Thunder Bay Police Service officers from various units were involved in the investigation into a series of anonymous threats that led to multiple closures of Hammarskjold High School last winter.

One of the units that played an important role in acting as a liaison between the police service and school board (among other duties) was our School Resource Officers – Cst. Jeff Saudners (in picture) and Cst. Frank Tropea.

Last week Hammarskjold High School officials paid tribute to their efforts, not just during those school closures but also for the ongoing work they do in the schools, by honouring the officers with the Friends of Hammarskjold Award.

The award was presented by principal DiBlasio.

The Thunder Bay Police Service would like to offer congratulations to our School Resource Offices on their receiving of the Friends of Hammarskjold Award.
