The Thunder Bay Police Service is aware of a planned demonstration taking place in the 300 block of Bay Street at approximately 4:30 p.m. today. Police have been in contact with organizers, who intend to hold a peaceful demonstration.
In an effort to ensure the safety of people participating in the demonstration and the general public, police will be closing off a section of Bay Street between Algoma Street South and Secord Street to vehicular traffic at approximately 2 p.m.
Expect traffic delays or disruptions in the area. Motorists are asked to avoid the area.
