Update: Balmoral Street was reopened to traffic the evening of Saturday July 20th.
The Thunder Bay Police Service is currently investigating a single motor vehicle accident that occurred shortly after 3 am this morning. Officers from the traffic unit are currently on scene and the investigation is likely to continue throughout Saturday morning.
During this investigation a section of Balmoral Street is closed to all traffic at the following intersections:
Balmoral Street at Lithum Drive
Balmoral Street at Beverly Street
Balmoral Street at Jasper Drive
Members of the public are requested to avoid the area and seek alternative routes around the affected area. Thunder Bay Police will be updating the media once this investigation is concluded and the roads have been reopened.
