The Thunder Bay Police Service is issuing a public safety alert in relation to a spike in mental health-related calls for service.
The TPBS has responded to an increase in apparent and attempted suicides in the last month. Due to the sensitive nature of these incidents the police service will not speak to case details.
Please consider reaching out to any loved ones, friends or family members who may be struggling with mental health, addiction, or other related issues.
If you are struggling please reach out to friends, family or support agencies, like the Canadian Mental Health Association, for help.
