Police are investigating the weekend death of an adult male as a homicide.
Emergency services were called to the Kaministiquia River Heritage Park during the early morning hours of Saturday, June 1, following a 911 call from a civilian passerby who found an unresponsive adult male.
The male was transported to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre where he was pronounced deceased.
The Major Crimes Unit and Forensic Identification Unit are involved in the ongoing investigation.
A police presence remains in the area as the scene continues to be held.
A post-mortem examination will take place at a later date.
