A 22-year-old man faces charges after an attempted late night robbery.
Thunder Bay Police Service Primary Response officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Arthur Street West at about 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 30, after receiving reports of a weapons incident.
Officers spoke to the complainant and learned that he and another individual were speaking outside a business when they were approached by a male. The male threatened the complainants, claiming to have a weapon, and demanded their wallets.
The complainants were able to get away from the suspect and contacted 911.
A male matching the suspect description was located and arrested without incident.
Aiden MOONIAS, 22, is charged with Robbery, Uttering Threats, and Failure to Comply with a Probation Order.
The accused appeared in court on Wednesday and has been released with a future appearance date.
