One person faces charges after police responded to collisions where an erratically driven vehicle collided with a shed and then a parked car.

Thunder Bay Police Service Primary Response officers were dispatched to the area of Ontario Street and Second Avenue on the afternoon of Saturday, May 24, after receiving a report of a motor vehicle collision.

A single vehicle had crashed into a tarped shed, causing significant damage, before reversing at a high rate of speed and colliding with a parked vehicle. The vehicle then flipped onto its side and firefighters had to extricate the driver from the vehicle.

Responding officers spoke to the driver and observed signs of impairment. The driver was arrested and taken into custody.

A 29-year-old woman is charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Dangerous Driving.

The accused has been released with a future court appearance date.
