Thunder Bay Police Service officers have made an arrest connected to an ongoing investigation involving child pornography.
Members of the service’s Cyber Crimes Unit began an investigation on Jan. 21 after learning that suspected child pornography was being uploaded by a local Internet user.
An investigation identified a potential suspect and on Jan. 30, 2020 officers executed a search warrant at a residence in the 700 block of Marks Street South.
Several devices were seized during that search. Police later located images consistent with child pornography.
Michael Ian Wolfe MCCUTCHON, 20, of Thunder Bay, is charged with Accessing Child Pornography. He appeared in bail court on Monday, Feb. 17 and was released with conditions and a future appearance date.
The investigation is ongoing.
