Police have charged a man with murder following a jail assault that occurred last month.
The Thunder Bay Police Service was notified of an assault that occurred at the Thunder Bay District Jail on the evening of Friday, October 25.
An adult male victim was transported to hospital for treatment of serious injuries that were considered life threatening.
The victim succumbed to those injuries on Wednesday, November 20.
The Major Crimes Unit became involved in the investigation. A suspect was arrested on a murder charge on Thursday, November 21.
Travis Jacob LOON, 31, of Thunder Bay, is charged with Second-Degree Murder.
