A 43-year-old man faces multiple charges of assault, including assaulting a police officer.
Thunder Bay Police Service officers with the Primary Response Branch were dispatched to the 100 block of Amelia Street West just after 9 p.m. on Tuesday, August 6, after receiving a report of an assault.
The responding officers received information that the suspect initiated an altercation with a male victim, striking the victim in the head with a piece of wood.
The victim was assessed at the scene by paramedics.
A suspect matching the provided description was located nearby and arrested. While being arrested, the suspect assaulted a police officer.
Daniel Robert DOMBROWSKY, 43, of Thunder Bay, is charged with Assault, Assault with a Weapon, Assault a Peace Officer, Breach of Recognizance, and Failure to Comply with a Probation Order.
The accused appeared in court on Wednesday and has been remanded into custody with a future appearance date.
