A suspect was arrested after being found in possession of weapons following police responding to a weekend assault.
Thunder Bay Police Service officers responded to the city's south side at about 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, after receiving reports of an assault that had occurred.
A witness reported seeing a male suspect use a weapon to assault another male.
Responding officers located a male matching the suspect description. The male was arrested by officers and found to be in possession of a small baseball bat. A further search resulted in the suspect being found in possession of brass knuckles.
Jonathon David Lee SAGUTCH, 34, is charged with Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose and Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon.
The accused appeared in court and has been remanded into custody with a future appearance date.
