Alert actions by nearby police officers aided an elderly man who was being robbed.
Thunder Bay Police Service officers with the Major Crime Unit were in the area of McKellar Street and Arthur Street shortly after 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9, when they observed a robbery occurring.
A male suspect had approached and threatened an elderly male, demanding money.
The suspect attempted to flee from an officer but was arrested after a brief foot pursuit and struggle.
Skyler GEORGE, 24, is charged with Robbery, Uttering Threats, Resisting Arrest, and Breach of Probation.
The accused appeared in court and has been remanded into custody with a future appearance date.
