Police arrested and charged a 26-year-old man with Assault Causing Bodily Harm following a Tuesday morning incident on the city’s south side.
Thunder Bay Police Service officers with the uniform patrol branch were dispatched to the 100 block of Pruden Street just before 8:30 a.m. following reports of a male in the area with visible injuries.
When police arrived they located the male, and an investigation revealed he was the victim of a recent assault. His injuries appeared consistent with a stabbing.
While in the area, officers identified and located a suspect. He was arrested and transported to the TBPS headquarters.
Paramedics transported the victim to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre for further treatment of his serious injuries, which did not appear to be life-threatening.
Wesley Brandon COASTER, 26, of Thunder Bay, is charged with:
• Assault Causing Bodily Harm
• Assault With a Weapon
• Breach of Probation x 2
He appeared in bail court on Wednesday, July 29 and was remanded into custody with a future appearance date.
