Police seized more than $65,000 worth of Cannabis, and arrested a 62-year-old Thunder Bay man, following an ongoing investigation into illicit marijuana sales.
Just before noon on Wednesday, May 13 officers with the Thunder Bay Police Service’s Intelligence Unit executed a search warrant at a residential address in the 2000-block of Lynda Avenue.
A suspect was arrested at the scene without incident.
As a result of their search, officers located a quantity of Cannabis with an estimated street value of more than $65,000.
Officers also located a quantity of Canadian and American currency. A total value of currency seized is not yet available but is believed to substantially exceed $5,000.
A 62-year-old Thunder Bay is charged with:
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
• Sale of Cannabis to an Individual 18 years or older
• Possession of Cannabis for the Purpose of Selling
• Possess, Produce, Sell, Distribute or Import with Intent to use to Produce Cannabis for Illicit Sale
The accused was released with conditions and a future appearance date.
