Police arrested four people, including two Toronto residents, following a drug warrant execution at a north-side home.
The warrant was executed in the 200 block of Clavet Street at about 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 7, by members of Intelligence Units from the Thunder Bay Police Service, OPP and Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service.
The warrant and search came as a result of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking activity.
When police entered the home they located and arrested four individuals.
During the search officers seized a quantity of suspected cocaine with an estimated potential street value of nearly $24,000; a quantity of suspected crack cocaine with an estimated potential street value of nearly $12,000; and a small quantity of Fentanyl.
Further investigation revealed the four arrested individuals were in the residence without the consent of the homeowner.
A quantity of cash was also seized. No total is available at this time, but the amount is believed to exceed $5,000.
Ryan Anthony GONSALVES-HEWITT, 18, of Toronto, is charged with:
• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
• Being Unlawfully in a Dwelling
A 17-year-old youth from Toronto is charged with:
• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
• Being Unlawfully in a Dwelling
• Failure to Comply with Sentence
Chantal Suzanne BOUCHER, 40, of Thunder Bay, is charged with:
• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of a Schedule 2 Substance
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
• Being Unlawfully in a Dwelling
• Breach of a Court Order
Crystal Anne LEDUC, 35, of Thunder Bay, is charged with:
• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
• Being Unlawfully in a Dwelling
• Breach of Probation
The youth accused cannot be identified in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
All accused appeared in bail court Thursday and were remanded into custody with future appearance dates.
