Thunder Bay Police Service officers arrested and charged four people following a weekend theft at a south-side liquor store.
Police were dispatched to the reported thefts at the West Arthur Street LCBO just before 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23.
When police arrived they learned four individuals had entered the store, threatened staff, and began stealing several bottles of liquor. The individuals were confronted by an off-duty Thunder Bay Police Service officer, at which point they fled from the store.
Four suspects were located nearby less than 10 minutes later by on-duty police officers. They were subsequently taken into custody and charged.
• A 22-year-old female from Thunder Bay was charged with Theft Under $5,000 and Failing to Comply with Recognizance.
• A 30-year-old female from Thunder Bay was charged with Theft Under $5,000 and Probation Order Non-Compliance.
• A 30-year-old male from Thunder Bay was charged with Theft Under $5,000, Resist Peace Officer, and Probation Order Non-Compliance.
• A 31-year-old male from Thunder Bay was charged with theft Under $5,000 and Probation Order Non Compliance.
All four appeared in bail court Sunday and were remanded into custody with future appearance dates.
