Police arrested and charged five people with drug-related offences following a disturbance call on the city’s south-side in the morning hours of Thursday, Oct. 31.
Thunder Bay Police Service officers with the Uniform Patrol Branch were originally dispatched to a Limbrick Street home just before 8:30 a.m. Monday following the reports of people fighting.
When officers arrived to investigate they found a number of people inside the home with drugs and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.
Members of the service’s Intelligence Unit were also dispatched to investigate.
As a result of this ongoing investigation, police located and seized about $16,000CAD. They also seized a quantity of cocaine with an estimated potential street value of $3,100, and crack cocaine with an estimated potential street value of about $6,000.
Micheil Matthew DAVY, 29, of Toronto, is charged with:
• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
• Probation Order Non-Compliance
Chelsea LADUKE, 27, of Thunder Bay, is charged with:
• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
Tammy Jessie MATTINAS, 44, of Thunder Bay is charged with:
• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
Andray MESSAM, 20, of Oshawa, Ont., is charged with:
• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
• Fail to Comply With Condition Recognizance
Kingsley SHAW, 41, of Toronto, is charged with:
• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
All five accused appeared in bail court Friday, Nov. 1 and were remanded into custody with future appearance dates.
The investigation remains ongoing.
