Five people have been arrested after police executed a search warrant as a result of a drug trafficking investigation.

Members of the Intelligence Unit, with assistance from the Emergency Task Unit and Ontario Provincial Police’s Organized Crime Enforcement Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence in the 100 block of Picton Avenue on the evening of Thursday, October 17.

One male suspect attempted to flee the residence through a window but was arrested after a brief pursuit. Four other suspects were located within the residence and were arrested.

Officers seized quantities of suspected crack cocaine, fentanyl, and hydromorphone, along with cash and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.

Avery COLLYMORE-WALTERS, 19, Scarborough; Jaylon LONDON, 20, Scarborough; Chantelle SPOON, 35, Thunder Bay; Vanessa Celeste UCHACZ, 43, Thunder Bay; and a 17-year-old youth from Scarborough are charged with the following:

• Possession for Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine, Fentanyl, Hydromorphone)
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000

COLLYMORE-WALTERS is also charged with Resisting Arrest. The youth accused is also charged with Obstruct Police.

The accused appeared in court on Friday, October 18, and were remanded into custody with future appearance dates.
