Thunder Bay Police Service officers arrested 7 persons last night following reports that an Ambrose Street residence had been taken over by a group of drug traffickers. Officers responded to the information and located the accused persons at the residence where they were taken into custody.
A subsequent investigation by investigators including members of the TBPS Intelligence Unit resulted in the seizure of a substance believed to be crack cocaine with a value of approximately $9,000 and cash believed to be over $5,000.
18-year-old Javoi Jeremiah ELWOOD of Toronto is charged with:
- Possession (cocaine) for the purposes of trafficking
- Proceeds of crime under $5,000
- Being unlawfully in a dwelling house
- Mischief under $5,000
- 5 counts of Breach of probation
23-year-old Brendan Bryan GRAVELLE-SONEGO of Thunder Bay is charged with:
- Possession (cocaine) for the purposes of trafficking
- Proceeds of crime over $5,000
- Being unlawfully in a dwelling house
- Mischief under $5,000
35-year-old James Edward WABOOSE of Thunder Bay is charged with:
- Possession (cocaine) for the purposes of trafficking
- Proceeds of crime over $5,000
- Being unlawfully in a dwelling house
- Mischief under $5,000
- Breach of probation
A 16-year-old male from Brampton is charged with:
- Possession (cocaine) for the purposes of trafficking
- Proceeds of crime over $5,000
- Being unlawfully in a dwelling house
- Mischief under $5,000
A 2nd 16-year-old male from Mississauga is charged with:
- 2 Counts: Possession for purposes of trafficking
- Proceeds of crime over $5,000
- Being unlawfully in a dwelling house
- Mischief under $5,000
- 2 Counts: Failure to comply with a Judicial Release
- Fail to comply with a Sentence Order
A 17 year old male from Brampton is charged with:
- Possession (cocaine) for the purposes of trafficking
- Proceeds of crime over $5,000
- Being unlawfully in a dwelling house
- Mischief under $5,000
A 15 year old male from Toronto is charged with:
- Possession (cocaine) for the purposes of trafficking
- Proceeds of crime over $5,000
- Being unlawfully in a dwelling house
- Mischief under $5,000
- Failure to comply with a Judicial Release
All accused have been remanded into custody with future court dates.
