The Thunder Bay Police Service’s Uniform Patrol division was dispatched to the Thunder Bay International Airport to assist with a reported unruly passenger aboard a Porter flight just before 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23.
Police learned the male passenger left his seat as the plane was preparing for its scheduled landing in Thunder Bay. When flight attendants requested the man return to his seat he became aggressive with the flight staff.
The confrontation led to the request for police assistance. A Thunder Bay Police Service officer escorted the passenger, a 27-year-old Toronto man, off the plane.
No charges have been laid at this time.
