The Thunder Bay Police Service is issuing a Community Safety Advisory about a high-risk offender who is now present in the city. This advisory follows careful review of the offender, considering all factors including privacy and community safety.
Tony GORDON, 31, has previously served prison terms resulting from convictions for multiple charges, including break and enter, trespassing/prowling at night, sexual assault, assault by choking, suffocation and strangulation.
He is prohibited from attending a public park or public swimming area where person(s) under the age of 16 are present or are expected to be present, or a daycare centre, school ground, playground, or community centre.
Anyone who observes Tony GORDON violating these conditions is urged to immediately contact police.
This information is being issued to the public as a precautionary measure. Members of the public are reminded that although Tony GORDON has been identified as posing a safety risk, his rights are guaranteed under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. The Thunder Bay Police Service will act accordingly to protect these rights if they are infringed.
