A collision between a vehicle and city grader has resulted in impaired driving charges.
Thunder Bay Police Service Primary Response officers were dispatched to the area of Hudson Avenue and Shuniah Street just after 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, after receiving reports of a motor vehicle collision.
A vehicle had driven into the back of the grader.
Responding officers spoke to the driver of the vehicle and observed signs of impairment. The driver was arrested and taken into custody for further assessment.
A 51-year-old male has been charged with Impaired Operation of a Vehicle and Operation of a Motor Vehicle While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus).
The accused was released on an undertaking and has a future court appearance date.
