Thunder Bay Police Service officers with the uniform patrol branch were dispatched to a hotel in the zero-to-100 block of Cumberland Street North for a weapons call just before 2 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10.
When police arrived they located a male victim who was being attended to by paramedics. Police learned the victim had been struck and stabbed during an assault that had recently occurred.
Paramedics transported the victim to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre for further treatment of his injuries.
The victim’s injuries do not appear to be life threatening.
Investigators with the Thunder Bay Police Service’s Criminal Investigations Branch continue to examine the circumstances surrounding this incident.
