ADVISORY: Update to public access restrictions of TBPS Lobby
Incident Date

The Thunder Bay Police Service public lobby is accessible to the public with certain restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Members of the public who need access to the lobby of our headquarters at 1200 Balmoral will be subject to a self-screening questionnaire regarding symptoms of or potential exposure to the COVID-19 virus. Anyone accessing the public lobby is required to wear a mask.

If you are required to appear or have a need to attend the Thunder Bay Police Service headquarters then please be prepared to complete a Visitor Screening Form upon arrival. For your convenience, you can download and print your own copy of the Visitor Screening form at this link.

Signage at the front doors of the lobby indicates the limitations and requirements for gaining entrance. Physical distancing must be maintained and masks must be worn. You will have to communicate with our front desk staff through an intercom in the front vestibule of the lobby before being granted access to the building.

If you have any questions on gaining access to the Thunder Bay Police Service lobby, please call 684-1200 for assistance.

We ask for your cooperation as we work together to control the spread of COVID-19.

The Oliver Paipoonge Policing Office at 4569 Oliver Road remains closed to the public, but for non-emergency services call (807) 935-2613. For emergency services call 911.
