As everyone knows, the new laws for the use of cannabis take effect on October 17th. The Thunder Bay Police Service has been busy preparing for this major change in legislation and how the use of this product will impact public safety.
On September 26, 2018 at 6:45 p.m. police took a report of a male getting out of his vehicle and following an 11-year-old girl as she walked near the intersection of Clarkson Street and Windsor Street.
A quick response by a citizen who called 911 to report break and enter was in progress at a neighbours residence in the 1900 block of John Street Road around 12:10 p.m. resulted in the eventual arrest of four males.
Thunder Bay Police Service School Resource Oficers arrested a male and female after the officers spotted a suspected stolen vehicle just before 9 a.m. Sept. 26, 2018.
Disturbance Results In Multiple Charges
Police received several calls for a disturbance outside a residence on the 200 block of Sequoia Drive just after 8:30 p.m. on September 25, 2018.
Police were dispatched to a residence on Mona Street at approximately 9:35 p.m. on September 24, 2018 on a report of an assault that had just occurred.
The Thunder Bay Police Service is on scene at a residence on Mona Street investigating a report of a gun shot being fired around 9:30pm on September 24th, 2018
The scene is being held as part of the on-going investigation.
A vehicle that was reported stolen to the TBPS on September 22, 2018 was observed by an officer travelling on May Street on Sept. 23, 2018 around 1:45 p.m.
A 31-years-old of Thunder Bay man was arrested on September 24, 2018 just after noon on May Street in relation to the robbery at the Mac's Convenience Store on September 17, 2018.
