R.I.D.E. Program Results

The TBPS conducted a four hour R.I.D.E. Program on Friday, September 22, 2017. During this time frame approximately 250 vehicles were stopped and checked.

Officers arrested three drivers for driving with over 80mg of alcohol in their blood as well as issued a three day suspension and charged one suspended driver. 

Uniform patrol officers also arrested two drivers on September 24, 2017 for impaired driving offences. A 29 year old male driver was arrested for failing to provide a breath sample and a 40 year old male was charged for impaired by drug as well as being a suspended driver.

The Thunder Bay Police Service will be conducting random R.I.D.E. programs in an attempt to stop unnecessary tragedies from occurring and keeping our roadways safe. Drivers are to be responsible and not drive should they be consuming any intoxicants.
