The Thunder Bay Police Service provides assistance to accredited news media outlets and professional journalists. We shall consider the following when determining to grant accreditation.
The applicant:
a) Is employed as a journalist by a news gathering organization;
b) Derives the majority of his or her income from employment as a journalist or participant in the news-gathering and dissemination process by a news gathering organization;
c) Possesses a diploma or degree in journalism;
d) Is a member of a Canadian or international media organization.
The news organization:
e) Has a business address and telephone number
f) Has a published policy regarding journalistic standards and ethics; and
g) Any other factor(s) considered to be relevant and material by the Thunder Bay Police Service.
