Community Cleanups
In the spring of 2017 Zone Watch teamed up with Eco Superior and organized a series of community cleanups. Five community cleanups were held in various areas of the city. Hundreds of pounds of trash was collected during this joint effort,and a number of Zone Watch members, community volunteers and Zone officers with the Thunder Bay Police Service made themselves available to see this initiative succeed.
Using social media, Zone Watch was able to advertise upcoming community cleanups and help spread awareness about how such initiatives could help reduce criminal activity through the theory of Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design.

CPTED Training
A training session for Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design was held in Thunder Bay in the spring of 2017. Several Zone Watch members were able to attend and learn more about the crime prevention process in the hops of incorporating the ideas into current and future crime prevention and safety campaigns.
