Applicants for the Special Constable position must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Successful completion of at least four years of secondary education or its equivalent.
- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess a valid class G Ontario driver’s license with full driving privileges
- Possess a valid First Aid and CPR (Basic Rescuer Level) certificate
- Be physically and mentally able to perform the duties of the position
- Meet the minimum hearing and vision requirements per the OACP
- Be of good moral character and habits, meaning that you are an individual other people would look upon to as being trustworthy and having integrity.
