community outreach

Policing is a partnership between the community and those who serve. We are very fortunate to have so many interested community partners who wish to work with police to make this a safe community.

We actively support and work directly with a number of community organizations to address the underling social issues which are at the heart of many crime and disorder problems which exist today. Many of these issues are beyond the scope of police.

Our community partnerships include:

  • Crime Prevention Council
  • Thunder Bay Drug Strategy
  • Local school boards
  • Thunder Bay District Crime Stoppers
  • Community Traffic Awareness Committee
  • Canadian Mental Health Association
  • Advisory Committee on Anti-Racism
  • Thunder Bay Multicultural Association
  • Ontario Network for the Prevention of Elder Abuse
  • Regional Multicultural Youth Council
  • Indigenous Friendship Centre
  • Thunder Bay District Health Unit
  • Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre
  • Diversity Thunder Bay
